These compounds are a compromise between cutting and brightness, aiming for simplification of operation. They have a place when production time is limited.

TRIPOLI
Combined cutting and finishing compound for soft metals only. Suitable for aluminium, brass, copper and zinc diecast. Follow up with a finishing compound if a brighter surface is required.

All grades of Tripoli polishes are based on the same abrasive, a sedimentary silica clay. This type of abrasive has become very popular as it exhibits excellent cut initially, followed by high brightness after the friable particles break up to finer fragments during the polishing operation. This results in high cut after fresh application of polish, followed by higher brightness just before a new application is required.

Although all Tripoli polishes contain the same abrasive, the grease composition and the ratio between grease and abrasive powder may vary for different grades. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Warning! Operate polishing machine with an efficient dust extraction device, and use face mask to avoid silicosis.

Three SILICA FREE TRIPOL type polishes are available: No.10, 20, & 30. No.10 is of highest cut, No.20 of medium cut and No.30 of highest brightness. These compounds should be the first choice for health and safety reasons.

SISAL SHINE - U
For high brightness and good cut. Suitable for all metals, including stainless steel. Recommended for surfaces that are smooth to begin with and are free of deep scratches. Also suitable to be used after MAXICUT. Use a sisal buff for cutting and a cotton buff for bright finishing.

GREEN No.9
Similar to SISAL-SHINE-P but brighter and with less cut. Also suitable for all metals. Produces high brightness when used in a cotton buff. For mild cutting use it on a sisal buff.
